Humminbird Transducer clicking HELP?

I just transferred my transducer from one yak to a new one. The transducer was installed with epoxy and after an hour of heating and chipping at I got it clean ready for install. I just mounted it again with epoxy (No Bubbles great picture) and when I fired it up during my mackerel lobster bait trip it sounds like a ticking bomb is beneath me.

Any insight? Does anyone else have a ticking transducer. I know the transducer pings but I never thought it was audible. I'm worried it might effect fishing.

I hear thats normal with some transducers.....just a sonar ping....every few seconds right?
It didnt do that with the first kayak it was on?
Maybe if you bury it in goop you wont hear it....not sure about the fish or what they think about it......

my lowrance mark 5 pro also clicks, but seems to click more loudly when using 83MHZ and when i first fire it up.
i believe this is normal??
mine is installed using two purchased foam blocks stacked on top of each other with the transducer against the hull with a little bit of water underneath.

i read another post that someone else committed on the clicking noise.

They all do that. Thats the sonar making the noise. some are just louder than others, If you change the speed of the transducer youll hear the clicking noise slow down. If its not making the noise then I'd worry.
