Let's just say it was the luckiest day I've ever had. Thanks to Moyer and Sammons for putting on a great event and for pulling my name so many times in the raffle.

Dennis had the biggest fish, a 26 lb. halibut.

The results:

1. Dennis Sapitan, 27-lb halibut
2. Eric Pugh, 22-lb yellowtail
3. Eric Edberg, 14-lb yellowtail
4. Anthony Anuat, 6-lb halibut
5. Sean Muldering, 4.5-lb rockfish

Dash for Cash: Eric Edberg, 14-lb yt
Top lady: Maggie Beauchamp, rockfish

Congratulations! Reports I took on the beach (only sure place to get a good photo) indicated there's life out there.

If there's any surprise for me, going north didn't pay off big for the first time in years. Several tangled with threshers, but no other love.
