First outing

Ok - so I finally had some time to go into the bigwater Sunday morning. Easier than I thought - rolled it once, but no big deal - I was in only 1 foot of water - didn't even realize it was that shallow. Good thing no rays were there to step on. Was a pain carrying everything to/from the car. Didn't want to risk driving on the sand so I used the 15min loading spot. Next is to build a cart and bring everything in one shot.

Make sure you use tires wide enough that don't dig into the sand. I heard the harbor freight specials are the ticket.

My arm is healed and ready to go. The pic that you see is from the day that I hurt my arm. I went out Kayaking and then while I was loading the Yak into my truck that's when I snapped my tendon. It's been 4 months since I have done any real fishing. I'm healed and cleared to do so and I'm going nuts not being able to get out with work and all. No worries I'll be out there soon. We'll have to buddy up someday.

I like my Wheeleze alot for deep sand.. since I'm over 50 I take every advantage I can. They haul alot of weight.

Need to get a few things first.... net/gaff, something for live bait..., build my yak cart, something to take home my catch, time....

this coming weekend is out, not sure about the next since work is sometimes a priority - want to also get my son out on a 1/2 day before his time is taken by xcountry at school. But I'll let you know when - besides, are you sure you want me tagging along? I'll probably slow you down being a rookie on the big water.

Yes, I wouldn't want to go out that far alone. Oh yeah, need to get a floating radio as well AND figure out how to use it. Sounds good, I'll let you know the week I plan to go. Probably will use frozen squid or shrimp first time out.
