how to get the stones

First,remove the gills by ripping them completely out.wear thick gloves for this or whatever keeps you safe.Follow the backbone up to the skull,the last bone is a big ball.The stones are inside this bone.getting them out is the tricky part without damaging them.I took a utility knife with a new blade and carefully carved the bone untill the fluid filled cavity was revealed.(see pics)use tweezers to pull out your treasure,you earned them

Ok, so now what? I'm just asking because I don't yet know way the folks at Hubbs ask me if I want them after I turn in the head. (they couldn't tell me either)

earrings for the wife. You can tell her they were tougher to find and cost probably as much as diamonds.

take your head(s) into Hubbs. They will do this for you and mail them to you after they have checked for a tag.....

i'm only taking mine up there so they can check for the tag.

the head will be turned into stock.
