Charles:

What type of paint are you using for your Vans shoe art? Paint pens?? Those things look great!!! Do you have to seal them at all to keep the art from wearing off? I don't think I could wear those since they look so nice

Thank you! I use mostly fabric paints with a mix of technical pens, paint pens, and fabric markers. I don't seal them, but a lot of people tell me they've used Scotch Guard with good results. Most people hang them up, but some people do wear em. Since it's mostly fabric paint, you can wash em, but they fade a lot.

I'm workin on a pair right now for a fellow BWE'er that are workin out pretty cool. Should have em done in a couple weeks. They're fun to do but take a lot of time so I don't do em too often.

I can do freshwater fish, or nearly anything else for that matter, but after the pair I'm workin on now are done I won't be doing any more until next Fall at the earliest. I used to sell em for $200, but after doing the math with the time I put in to em and cost of supplies that works out to about $6.90 per hour. So the next ones I do will be for trade. Gear, reels, etc.

Anyway, sorry for the thread jack Newguy! Somebody swap out one of their old yaks for some clean traditional work and help this guy out!
