pipelines

i was just wondering if anybody has fished or hooped the pipe line west of the encino power plant or the pipe line buy the san onofre power plant? id like to get out and try them both this upcoming weekend unless they both suck. thanks guys. Mark

There used to be a big underwater canyon right off of Tamarack jetty; unfortunately, erosion has filled it in. The sand that used to be on Carlsbad State Beach is now in the canyon.
I would say that it hasn't been worth it looking for bugs off Carlsbad since about 1980.
San Onofre is pretty much all sand from the creek.
The only place where there are any lobsters at all is on Terramar reef. If you don't see traps from the commercial guys out of Oside; don't waste your time.

sand moves around a lot... it might not be there any more???
