Yes a great deal on a great kayak in great condition! I will be very sorry to see this yak go, it was my first yak bought new 4 years ago and has landed many fish at LJ and DP. It's the fastest, straightest tracking, best looking paddle yak IMO cuts through waves and chop with ease and very dry inside the hull, never more than a cup of water on surf launch days (not a drop on calm water). The bait tank was just recently completely re-done with new battery and pump and will hold 15-20 macs or a nice kayak scoop of sardines all day, the battery gives about 10 hours of run time. The GPS/Fishfinder alone goes for $300.

I'm selling this and my wife's prowler 15, both great yaks, because we plan to outfit with a brand new tandem so the whole family can enjoy.

Over $2200 put into this fishing yak. A steal at $800. In DP area, I am willing to deliver it to San Diego/Orange Counties or come up to DP and see it or demo it on the water if you want.

Some reviews of Tarpon 160i: http://www.paddling.net/Reviews/show...html?prod=1563

FWIW I weigh about 260lbs and fully loaded, batteries, full bait tank, electronics, dry bag full of emergency gear and warm clothes, 4 rods, a gallon of drinking water and all fishing gear and even my 50lb 4yo son spending a whole day out there with me and we are still plenty high out of the water (although he's getting too big for comfort now, thus the need for a tandem!) The weight rating I think is listed on the low side. If you're not sure you're welcome to come demo it!
