Pat, really nice fish. You were only about 10lbs light on your on the water estimate. That is a serious toad!

As for me, nothing but a bunch of macs. Worked that same area after Pat left for nothing. Did see one spot of fish pop up real briefly but they were up and gone. It sounded pretty dead except for the one fish. As for conditions, a real light swell, little to no wind and a moderatate amount of sunshine. Except for the absence of fish for me, it was an exceptional day on the water.

Pat you are a stud. First drop too dang it. Launched in the dark, headed outside where 2 boats were, saw one hooked up turned out to be a small shark, birds working, turned out to be big macs.
Ended up with lobster bait for the day.
Nice fish, makes you look short....

WTG!

Congratulations, Pat, on an outstanding fish!
In regards to your photo shop work of last year that people referred to, we also thought this picture looked very familiar. But, since we were there last Wednesday when Iceman scored a double and there were yellows everywhere it's quite conceivable that your story holds true.
As for us, we launched a little after you did, fishing until 2:30PM, with a red snapper (released), a sand bass, and lots of mackeral for our efforts. 3 trips and 22 hours on the water in the last 8 days, with really nothing to show for it. Not complaining, just not stoked like you should be. At least the weather has been great, and we've enjoyed our whale sightings .

Gotta love the first cast suprise.

Congrats on a nice YT.

I cruised from 10:00 - 3:00 and only encountered Pacific Grey Whales and a couple idiot PB'rs.....

Pat, congratulations on making the cover of WON.

Anyone old enough to remember this?
