You've been served.
I have zap a gap glue too for faster applications. Since I have 100lb sold braid on my reel, this is the connection I choose to use. knot free thru the guides right down to the 200lb mono triple loop knot on my jig which is support to have 100% knot strength 💪 2 Bimini twist on 100lb sold braid one end to slip over trailer ball for stretching purposes and the other looped into 200lb hollow core loop which is served into 200lb Mono and triple loop knot onto S hook 🪝 I will pull on it till it snaps. 200lb Mono is to big for the San Diego jam knot It either triple loop or 200lb crimp. I will get back to you after it's snapped with the results Stay tuned. If you don't have the time to do your own rigging call squidco they will be happy to rig you up.

I could have served the 100lb sold braid
Inside the 200lb hollow and finished it with a nail knot or half hitches but I choose to use a Bimini twist loop incase I get sawed off I can slip in another 25yds of 200lb Mono.

Every time the needle pokes thru...the hollow
Is a locking point when you go back in the hollow
Chinese finger trap locks when you pull the opposite way

I like the copper unit. Fancy and expensive.
Nice soldering job too. |

Happy with my test....
None of my connections broke.
The 100lb solid braid line broke just before the Bimini twist loop knot right at the bow scale at 85lbs. I'm sure some bouching was involved as I used an electric wench with button control. Just go's to show never thumb your spool. Kind of wish I would have got 130 braid instead of 100lb because I surely had the line capacity on a 50s international my troll and vertical jigging reel

Also....
You can make a daho 130lb needle work on 200lb mono if you heat the needle and melt in mono let it cool and shave with a razor blade.

Interesting tests. On my heaviest kayak outfit I use 100lb braid, one of those heavy wind on spro swivels, as you have above, and a 40+ft leader of 130-250lb mono. On the mono end, I use a crimp, on the braid side of the swivel, a San Diego Jam knot.
The circle hook is attached with a crimp( smaller than most knots) If all goes well, I pull a grouper out of a wreck. Otherwise, it is hard work to bust off a snag.... |

You don’t have to serve it. Just insert 2 ft and glue the end. Give it a test. It works and has landed dozens of 1,000lb fish.
