Never had that problem. You could remove the knobs and stow the paddle on the other side.

I almost died in Big Sur 55 degree water because of that stupid paddle holder.
In the freezing water trying to get on my yak multiple times failing because I kept getting stuck on the dangerous accessory. Be careful out there. |

It’s funny-when I had my Revo 13, I was annoyed that it only had one paddle slot... now I see in part why they did it.
