Plier Recommendation

I'm looking for a plier that will not rust. I'm thinking about getting the KastKing Cutthroat 7” Fishing Pliers. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Just search for “aluminum fishing pliers” on amazon. Pick one and go fish!

I keep the cheap ones but spray them with corrosion x.
I've lost more to the drink than to rust.

The cheap amazon pliers can do anything. I snipped, stripped, and spliced 14ga wire with mine a few weeks ago bobbing in the darkness trying to make bait with a busted bait tank. They still cut braid just fine lol.

just go to turners and get some saltwater pliars. They will be around 15-20 bucks, i got a pair of Izor pliars for 6 bucks there, they are great except for the grips. the turners branded pliars are the same pliar but they have molded plastic handles. I had a pair of them but they fell off of my kayak into the depths, and they were out of stock when i went back (hence why i got the izors)

just get some channel lock needle noses at your local home depot. rinse and shoot some wd-40 on them to prevend corrosion. ive used those cheap aluminum pliers and after taking the hook out of ONE fish, the tips didnt line up anymore. things just went downhill from there.

plus, when you have a surface iron dangling off your hand and you need to cut the hook off to get it out, youll be happy you have something with strong cutters, not little braid cutters that will just shatter, ask me how i know lol
