Hope the angler made it to shore safely. If you’re associated with the search, perhaps the local stores have a record of who boat that model and can call on their customers and check on their well-being.

Pretty scary. I hope the kayaker is fine since they have not received any missing person reports. Perhaps conditions were rough, he capsized and got picked by a boat? left the kayak thinking it was a lost? I hope so.

Your local coast guard station or the auxiliary has decals you can put in your yak that has name phone # etc... Everyone should do this and they're free. Stick it under a hatch or where someone can find it without too much trouble.
