Hobie Kayak Recommendation

I'm hoping you might be able to help me pick the right kayak. I currently have a 2015 Hobie Outback I use kayak fishing.

I'm looking for a second mirage drive kayak that would be suitable for my wife to use on family trips or for one of my children (age 8 and 10) to use with me when kayak fishing.

I'm seeing some great OEX Sunset Beach lightly used kayaks for sale but I'm not sure which Hobie model would be most suitable for my children to fish from.

I'm thinking the Hobie Sport or a Revolution 11 would work, but I'm not sure about reach to the pedals while seated for the children. I would prefer a model with a vantage seat.

Thanks!

OEX DEMOS

If you can hang on for a few more weeks Andy will be doing a couple of OTW Demo days at the Sunset Beach shop.
We'll have a bunch of the Hobie models for you to try out...

If you can't make it to one of Andy's Demo days, Hobie will also have some kayaks in the water at the Long Beach Fred Hall Show down at the lagoon to try out...Kevin Nakada and I will be there...then you can go back to OEX and get a killer deal on the model you like...!

Talking

Get the 2019 Outback for yourself and the wife or kids can use your 2015 outback. Problem solved, since you didn't mention a budget.

hobie revolution 13
You said your wife and children, I have old outback and revolution 13 , outback for me and revolution is for my daughter (100lb) sometime my wife ,my daughter speed up with me and it's stable enough for fishing
Revolution 11 or sport will do the job now but when they grow up , it might little bit small for them

Take a good luck at the Compass. Little light on the extras but I nice boar that can handle any water your outback does and can be upgraded as needed if your son sticks with it.

Thank you all for the feedback and advice. I'll definitely get them both to test out a few models before we decide. The nice thing about Hobie products is that they hold their resale value pretty well making a trade up not too painful if they grow out of the kayak.
