I bought a modified drifter by surf to summit for team kayak obsession. The seat is about four inches thick and has been working great for me on my Malibu stealth 12. I launch mostly in the surf and this seat has kept my butt high and dry.
Comfy too. No complaints from me. Glad I bought it. My two cents |

What model of Trident is it, if it is one of the newer models you will be pretty limited on choices. The front harness attachment points that most aftermarket seats will need are not there on the newer models. Raising the seat on the Trident much will make it a bit tippy (at least on the initial stability).
