Redondo Thanksgiving!
Headed out this morning around 6:30am from REDONDO. Trolled around a bit with an Ahi Live Deception 4oz jig and a Luckycraft SW Wander Jig 50g for no takers. Rock fishing was great once I found them. Limited out and also caught a nice 12#+ Lingcod on some strip squid! A first from the yak for me!! Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! |

Trolling
What beautiful colors on those toothy buggers...
Good Job... We got a few nice rockfish the other day, but with all the marks it was still a tough bite...sometimes it seems like the currents down at the edges of the deeper water of the canyon are totally different from the shallower areas or the surface. It can be ripping down there and totally calm at the top. Someday I'll figure it out...LOL Try the smaller b/w Rapallas for the Bonzes...it's been working for me lately...nothing on the LDJs the last two trips....although some guys are sitting and jigging deep to get a few.
