Quick report 9/24 MDR reefs
Lots of surface bust ups. Trolled around a little and hooked a few big macs. Thought the Bonito would be around but didn't see any. Heard the Spitfire saying the bite was good on big Bonito over their loudspeaker as they passed me. They headed south. Dolphins and seals were tearin it up offshore. A lot of life out there. Bass fishing was pretty slow. Picked away at it for a couple calicos and a couple sandies. No real big ones. Couldn't really get the lighter lures down on the marks before I was pushed off so I switched to a butterfly jig. All bass caught on that. Maybe next time. Still a fun morning. |

Always digging the MDR reports. The bonita have been around in big numbers lately.
Got myself about 4 at 5/6lbs last weekend further north.
