FS: 2013 HOBIE OASIS TANDEM w/ Lowrance Elite-7 & 50/200 Transducer, & Extras
Long time, no posts, and sadly .. no fishing. Unfortunately, I have had some medical issues come up. Due to these issues, and others, I decided to sell my kayak and fishing stuff. Hopefully, I can return to the game in a few years. I purchased this kayak from Andy, at OEX in March 2013. He did the 1 set of Turbo fins, but all the other installs were me. They were done pretty well, reinforced, and sealed on both sides with Goop. They are all very strong, no wiggle, no leaks. As far as I can tell, it takes on no water. The Yak Attack Rail segments were attached using the optional Fullback Backer Bar, instead of just the single nuts (and Goop). My ad is listed on CL for $2700: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/spo/4883641825.html There are a few YouTube videos. The first one is a walk-around video I did today, which I think gives a good overview of the condition of the kayak and what is included. Basically, to figure out a price, I took most of the upgrades and add-ons that I could find reliable prices on below, and added them all up at 50% of their MSRP price, and figured around $2000 for the Oasis. That came out to around $2900. The Lowrance Elite-7 FF is still under warranty with West Marine PLUS Plan until April 10, 2015. Not in the video, or photos, there are 2 batteries, standard sealed lead batteries, and a basic charger, that will be included. The batteries may need a matching marine plug connector to connect to the wiring I installed in the kayak. They are available from Andy at OEX, or West Marine, or probably anywhere. **PRICE DROP** BWE Members can take it all for $2500. ** will include 8-GAL livewell (slant lid pet food container type). Works ok, but needs some tinkering and final adjusting of the internal drainage tubes. Made with high quality Johnson pump, and also MOJO interval timer. Those 2 parts alone, close to $100. You can see it below, in the 2nd pic, near the waders. ==== Hello, I am selling my Hobie OASIS Tandem Kayak. It has a lot of upgrades, which I have listed below, and in a walk-around YouTube video. Please see the YouTube video links below for a good overview of the kayak condition, and what is included. This is the OASIS Tandem model, not the Outfitter tandem. It is great for any kind of fishing, lake or ocean. I usually fished with my young son at Los Alamitos Bay, or Newport, or Dana Point. Come get this kayak for the upcoming long holiday weekend! GO FISH! I am asking $2700 obo for this entire package. Please note, that the Lowrance fish finder sonar alone is $970 MSRP with the 50/200 Transducer, and is still under West Marine Warranty. You can take it in to West Marine tomorrow and exchange it for *NEW*.. no questions asked! This kayak package will need to be picked up by the BUYER. I can not deliver this anywhere, as I have no truck or car rack anymore. Sorry. Please email me to ask any questions. Sorry... been unable to sign on to BWE regularly. Josh, I am so sorry... did you end up getting a beach cart for your kayak? Let me know if you are still interested. Tentatively, the kayak is SOLD. If the sale does not go through tomorrow, then the HOBIE OASIS TANDEM KAYAK will be available to look at and purchase at a large neighborhood garage sale going on TOMORROW, SATURDAY, APRIL 25. What is still FOR SALE... is the Lowrance Elite-7 HDI Gold Combo. You can also see this at the garage sale tomorrow morning. PM me for details and address. I will have some miscellaneous stuff, like a Standard Horizon VHF Radio, Promar telescoping gaff, an adult and child PFD vest, spin exercise bike, Precor treadmill, etc. If anyone is going to be in the Los Alamitos, Long Beach areas, and wants to swing by to look, just let me know. Have a terrific weekend!! -Jay |

FF and VHF
$600 for the Lowrance FF
I'm not sure, but I think $100 for the Standard Horizon VHF. I'll find the receipt and post a pic later tonight. |
