Redondo Kayak launch and Boat Ramp...?

This is the latest before and after versions of the proposed Redondo boat ramp and the surrounding areas....
It looks better...but I'd like to see more details on that small dock and road where the existing hand launch dock is now...
Unless you launch at the new proposed boat ramp...it looks like a long walk to park the car....?
It's certainly less dense with construction and big buildings.

I think it would be ok if they took the parking area and reversed it as pictured. Parking in the center and the buildings toward the outside (Beryl st)

Ramp

As it looks now it’s a long truck to park with your gear sitting unprotected. The city looks unconnected with the reality of the uses this area gets .

That actually looks pretty good to me. I mean I would definitely launch my boat there, and I like the kayak and boat parking is in the same lot, and away from the retail areas.

Who will manage the parking? If it is that same concession as MDR that would probably be a flat rate of
  • Vehicles with trailers – $13
  • Vehicles only (kayakers) – $10

I'm assuming paid at the gate machine. I could live with that.

If they had that setup I'd probably launch from the ramp, just like I do at MDR.That would cut down on the walk, and $10 parking is not that bad if you are fishing a full day.
