I not a big fan of China copying items, but hard to dismiss when prices are unbeatable for certain things. But so much is made over there now its hard to stay loyal. I don't mind the weight as my son can easily pick this thing up over his head 1 handed if he needed too. But almost all SOT kayaks that I've shopped for and have been PM'd about don't have a raised seat and I know from experience wet shorts and fishing aint fun.

After finding out it's a cheap Chinese knockoff you are still considering it?

There's a distinction between owning legitimate foreign made goods and knowingly participating in the counterfeit/knockoff market.
