Spring flowers
The Scent of a Woman by Makobob Recent Baja storms are turning the desert GREEN. But it could be orange, red, yellow and purple too. The spring of 2017 brought much color to the Baja peninsula. The fall might do the same. Below are some pictures from this spring in the Gonzaga area. Last spring while sleeping on the roof an a warm night I awoke about 2 am. I hastily looked around for the woman I knew was there. Her scent had pulled me from a dream of Baja. It took me a full minute to realize it was from all the blooming desert flowers the spring rains had brought to our part of Baja. Yes the desert was on fire with the vibrant colors and the scent of desert wild flowers. The scent of spring was on the desert air, and what a wonderful spring it was. With the recent rains it could happen again in the next week or two. I hope it does. Tight Lines amigos. This was a spring to remember. Perhaps a railing for the roof is in order.
Getting up sleepy and looking for a woman can land you on the first floor! |
