Plumber's Goop seems to be less viscous than Marine Goop. I ran out of Marine Goop in the middle of a project and switched to the Plumber's Goop. The Plumber's Goop didn't work as well on angled surfaces; much of it ran off and formed a puddle. It doesn't work well for exterior applications either. It yellows more quickly than Marine Goop and it peels off easier. The lower viscosity might be helpful for a transducer installation. I usually warm up the Marine Goop to make it less viscous when I mount a transducer.
