King Saba meets Saba Slayer
The sport boats were off PV today catching Tiny Yellows and Calicos and a few Bonito on anchovies. I slow trolled a Mack and a hoochie daisy chain on the outside of the boats almost to the point. The Macks were big...I was wishing... "big bait, big fish"...The hoochie produced and the Mack didn't...just a few Calicos. I stayed out till it started whitecapping then raised the sail and did a straight line back into the harbor doing a steady 4 or 5 mph most of the way. Gotta love that AI...! I met King Saba at the dock and saw his bag full of Rockfish on his Hobie Revo. What another beautiful day...!

Thanks for the report. I've been thinking about getting a sail for my revo specifically for fishing pv and not having to paddle 10 miles back to the launch.

What the hell is a Saba anyway? Google tells me is a tiny island, some software package or a city in Honduras...

It was good meeting you Jim. A rare report from you . I did ok on the Rockfish. Only managed 2 for home and sent two small ones back down. The sack was mostly filled with huge greenies for my fish loving dogs.
