Lost Setup

Crash and burn tonight at LJ launch. Lost a setup that is pretty special to me. Phenix 7' rod with an accurate narrow reel with red braid. Very good Karma comes to anyone that finds and returns it

Yeah Tony, I know. I don't think I have ever crashed the outback, overloaded I guess got dumped in about 4 ft of water, about halfway down the beach on a high tide. Hopefully someone finds it at low tide today, we'll see.

That sucks big time. That one out fish probably cost more than all my gear put together. Night landins a dicey. You can see the eaves until they break. Mike

I saw this today

Didn't think about it until I saw this post. Heading back in one of the kayak tour guides was sitting with your poll on the concrete ledge...i noticed the red braid! Also it looked like you had a bird shit 6x....

If i would of known I would have took his name...
I'm sure you can catch him tomorrow. ..just start asking all those kayak guides...hopefully they will be honest about it he wasn't alone.

Paddle

There was also a paddle black and yellow...This was on the sea wall awaiting it's owner.

That should be it, I lost my paddle as well!!! Do you know what company had it or what the dude looked like? If anyone on this forum see's it before me, pick it up and I will drive to go retrieve it. Thanks bro, I hope I can link up with my gear. You rock!

If I would have known earlier I would have snagged it....from launch until around 12 the paddle was on the sea wall at the launch. ..next to the fence....someone had good intentions to put it there for its owner. I'm a little far from there to snag it now. As far as what the guy looked like....dirty blonde hair if I'm not mistaken. He was sitting on the sea wall right behind where they have all the rental kayaks on the beach. Ton of guides around to include females...I'm sure if you ask everyone of those guides tomorrow about the pole one of them should recollect. Mention a reward and they'll start squeeling.
