Good advice Cabo John. Dannowar, A mean Cabrilla sounds fun but I am really looking to land one of the other guys. I'm surprised I haven't heard more chatter on the site about one of the places like Colorado or Leonero. Has anyone on the site gone down there and killed a big tuna, dodo, or landed a billfish or big Rooster??? Just trying to understand the best month to get a good shot at one. The website for Rancho Leonero has a chart for optimal seasons for the various species but I'm wondering if/how El Nino changes that. If I'm planning a trip, I want the best possible shot.

Also considering going back to do some more offshore fishing with this guy in Florida - http://www.tckayakfishing.com/. We went out last year for Sailfish and blanked on them but we did get into a bunch of blackfin tuna on knife jigs and had a blast. We barely peddled the hobies the whole day. Just beach launch and drift 20 miles, land, and he takes a taxi back to his truck.
