Lowrance Elite 5 GPS Issues
Ex: in LJ but it map still shows the last time i was out in DP? is there a hard rest or something I do, re-boot...? sorry but clueless at the moment |

Did you do the update of the firmware?
That upgrade helped a lot. |

go to the lowrance website. All the instructions are there. You can check to see if the upgrade applies to your model.
Download firmware onto a SD card, put it into your unit and it will self upgrade. http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Softwa...ates/Elite-40/ Follow the instructions on the website. If you brick your unit, don't blame me. Last edited by bolocop; 09-03-2015 at 11:39 AM. Reason: added information |

One thing you want to make sure of is that you are not in the cursor mode on your chart. Meaning the dotted line cross hairs are on the map and can be repositioned be the arrow keys. If you were in that mode when you powered down it will stay in that mode and at the hat position until you exit the mode. Menu _ Return to Vessel. Is how it was done on the Elite 5 and Elite 5 DSI. Just something to check.
