Weekend Gonzaga trip
Saturday was fish day for Rob and Carlos. They launched by 7 am, and were back by 11:30. Between them they caught over 50 bass/triggers. Out of that time they spent over an hour sitting on a beach decompressing. Why you ask? Well, over the last two weeks it seems that a few Great whites have moved into the area. They are targeting the dogs in the area. The two they saw were 8 foot and about 12 foot. I locked down the lease on my old place. Sunday we drove home through Mexicali, border wait was less than an hour. Truck run well, cost of fuel was $155 for over 700 mile trip. Old truck fuel cost was $200 +-. So that is a win. Hope to return this coming weekend. Tight lines.

A large shark breached (not a white) in 10' water in the bay last w/e. It made the cool down swims pretty interesting. It was so f'n hot.

Tons of life around Gonzaga now. It was 80-98 degrees while we were there.

I'd be lying if said I wasn't scared as it was my first encounter with the TaxMan.
So scared I forgot to mention seconds before we seen the 2nd Great White a nice sized Dorado breezed right by at a fast speed which followed by Carlos letting me know that the Taxman was right behind me. It probably explains why he was hauling ass... Anyhow be safe out there guys.... Here's a few pics from the trip. Bob's new truck and his chick, some travel pics and what Bob does best on these road trips! I forgot my GoPro in my kayak at the pad so unfortunately no otw flicks....

Thanks for the pictures, The final total is, 770 miles at $155 and 16.8 MPG, pretty good for a diesel during break in. This is going to be a great truck for Baja or Bust trips. Tight lines.

Sorry I missed the trip but at least I'm on good terms with the missus. So good it looks like she's letting me go to Baja for five days starting Friday

I liked the fact that there are pee stops.
Is there a coating we can put on the kayak to repel sharks?? If not maybe someone can work on it. |

I've never heard of a GW eating a kayak, I hear they only taste them.

Do not know about the shark repellant coating, but heard you do not want to pee on them. As to pee stops they seem to be a fact of life.
