Hey Iceman" would this be a good time for a frist timmer to try out the surf launch with the kayak and do you guys realy go way out in the sea. I have only been out in Oceanside Harbor. If the swell tomorrow is the same as yesterday, I'd say "no", not a good beginner day to attempt. Pretty good NW running.
But it's almost always a good day to test your skills in the surf w/o your gear --which was the purpose for these SanO gatherings in the first place. Now that it's Spring, we all want to FISH rather than play in the waves. Or at least I do. Z |

one last bump and a reminder...
It's prolly gonna be very busy / crowded in the AM. I highly recomend being in line by BEFORE the gates open at 6:00am. With the surf being good and weather nice...its gonna be a fuster cluck with surfers, paddle boarders, campers, kayakers etc and peeps trying to get down to Old Mans / San'O. See you in the AM fyi- we park & launch at the very south end of the dirt road along the beach, just north of the domes. You prolly don't need wheels as you can drag yer kayak a couple feet accross the sand to the water. $.02 |
