DP to SANO?

So a while ago a couple of us did a trip from DP to SANO and had a blast. It was a loong trip, we fished pretty much the entire way hitting every little bit of kelp we could find. Lots of calico action, and even a nice leopard shark. My question is is anyone down to do something like this? I haven't seen a trip like this posted up in a while and I think it would be lots of fun to do again.

We did it slow, we really took our time and I think it took like 10 hours.

If I can hitch a ride back from san o to DP , I'd do that.

would be fun. Leave really early (o dark thirty) Maybe high tail it to San mateo point (trestles area) or by the san clemente pier (fish the rocks nearby). I hear there are artificial reefs around trestles. Fish that area south to san o seems fun and like a great time.

We would set up a shuttle. I would drop the yaks in DP then drive to Sano then take 1 vehicle back to DP. I can take 4 yaks 2 on the roof and 2 on the trailer. We could put another pickup there so we would have plenty of vehicles to shuttle back to DP.

This sounds like an awesome trip. If I could get a ride back to dp, you can count me in too.

EasyD-
Pick a day and roll with it...people will show and it will be a fun day. No worries on the shuttle...that always works itself out on the beach in the AM when everyone is there as you already know.
IF I am free when you do the paddle, count me in X3. I can shuttle too.
As always, I bring a grill for a BBQ at San'O after.

I can't do anything until after June 26. I hate to miss out. But if that date sticks, I kindly request some on the water reports!!

No worries. July sounds good too. With the weather warming up each day, I m sure the tropic species are migrating further north too and we can meet them along the way.
