Just spoke to John from the Islander- for those that have looked on SCI closure site- not to worry John spoke with SCI Island control and gave the OK for Islander to fish-
RE: Be at the boat (Fishermans Landing) around 5:30-6pm on Friday Parking: You get 30 min free in the lot to unload and if you are lucky to find parking on the street its free.

weather?
Looked at the forecast and it doesn't look like that sunny glassy day we were hoping for. Winds are up and swells are up. Are we still a go? I have a long drive and would hate to have a cancel at the last minute. I figure the Capt. John will know of a place to hide out.

See you guys on the 11th!
My one piece of advice is this: Don't be the guy in everyone's way taking way too long to rig up! We slayed the goats last year deep in the kelp using 1oz bullet weights just above 2/0 live bait hooks. Live or dead squid was the bait of choice. The action was so incredible that while waiting for the skiff to deliver bait I was using dried up pieces of squid that were stuck to my yak and still nailing goats on every drop. |

Just around the corner, cant wait for this. Keep thinking over and over what im going to bring, Irons, halibut rigs, bass set up. I figured 4 poles should cover everything. Lets hope for some mellow weather (knocking on wood).
