Fred Hall Del Mar - Help out and get in free

Love to talk kayak fishing? The Kayak Fishing Assoc of CA is looking for your help at the Del Mar Fred Hall Show.

We're raffling off a brand spanking new as in just debuted Malibu X-13 to raise money to keep our launch sites open. We need to gear up; the MLPA is on the way to SoCal as early as this summer.

A big thank-you to those who've already volunteered to work the show or put in some time up in Long Beach. It all helps.

If this sounds like fun, please send me a PM along with the dates and times you can help.

The show hours are:
Weds March 26 thru Fri March 28: 1 pm to 9 pm
Sat March 29: 10 am to 9 pm
Sun March 30: 10 am to 6 pm

Folks, please step up and help. We're raising money that'll get us to the MLPA meetings so we can keep as many of our launch sites open as possible. We're also ambassadors to the sport, ready to field questions about kayak fishing.

We have several shifts available, especially on Friday and Sunday. Volunteers get a free show ticket - stick around and enjoy the show before or after helping out.

To those who have volunteered, a very sincere thank-you. Here's the tentative schedule. Please let me know if you can grab one of the open shifts or if I've made any mistakes or you need a change in schedule. Your passes should be available at Will Call. Please check here the weekend prior to the show for updated information.

And if you can't help us out, stop on by to talk shop and pick up a raffle ticket. You could win a hot new X-13 courtesy of Malibu and OEX.

Side note - I may be offline until Sat, and will respond to questions and new volunteers at that time. Thanks again to everyone who's offered to help.

My thanks again to all the Del Mar Fred Hall Show volunteers. Here's the scoop.

The plan is a simple one. When you get to the show, go to Will Call, say you are from the Kayak Fishing Association and give them your name. They should hand you a show pass. This way you can come as early as you like and enjoy the show before your shift.

The Kayak Fishing Association booth should be located near the Quantum Kayak Fishing Center seminar stage, possibly in the Bing Crosby Hall.

Steve Green and I should both be at show every day. If you have any trouble getting into the show or can't make your shift, please call me.

Paul's cell number is: 858-254-3600

Working the booth will be fun. We're there primarily as ambassadors to the sport, to answer questions on kayak fishing, and to promote the message boards and the Kayak Fishing Association of California.

We're also selling raffle tickets for $5 each to benefit the KFACA's MLPA efforts. The grand prize is a new Malibu X-13 kayak. It will be awarded during the final day of the Del Mar show. OEX is chipping in additional prizes, so we'll have one drawing a day. Steve and I will have more details at the Show.

Concerning the MLPA, we're telling people it is coming soon. The process will start in mid-summer or slightly later. The KFACA will push for representation in the stakeholder's process. We'll need all the support we can get.

Please feel free to contact me with questions. See you at the Show!

Paul

KFACA volunteers:

Last minute change in plans.

Tix are not, repeat not at Will Call.

When you get to the show, please call me or Steven Green. Someone will run a badge out to you and get you in the gate.

Paul L 858-254-3600
Steve Green (Landwhale) 562-668-2022

Feel free to come early and check out the show. There's a lot to see. The KFACA booth is in the Bing Crosby Hall right next to the Quantum Kayak Center seminar stage.

See you there!
