Stolen Gear - Time to Reload

I had all my rods and reels stolen from my truck last Saturday night and now I have to find some to replace them. I know Fishaholic has a lot of used gear does anyone else have anything they can send my way? I’m not looking for free stuff just maybe a good deal on some solid rods and reels. I had mostly Daiwa sealine, seagate, and saltist before but I am open to switch based on your guys suggestions. Durability and reliability are the most important factors for me. Here’s what I’m looking for:

(1) Bait set up: What kind of reels do you guys use for your bait set ups? Conventional, spinner, bait caster? I'm going to get a Sabiki rod but not sure on the reel.
(1) Bottom/rockfish set up
(1) Jigging set up (yo-yo irons and surface irons)
(1) Flyline set up

I might just go to Fred Hall and load up on 4 new Daiwa Sealine 20s because they seem like the best overall deal. Not sure what to do on the rods. I'm looking to spend $150-$200 total on each rod/reel combo. Let me know so I can fish this coming up weekend. Thanks in advance for your help.

Awe man...... That sucks. I like to think that karma will take care of the douche bag while he's on the water.
My stuff isn't great but you're welcome to borrow my gear if you need it until you get new stuff.

OMG, dude that sucks. So sorry to hear about this. No wonder you didn't call me to go out on Sunday

I like good quality reels that are not expensive so if it falls overboard, oh well.

That said I use the Big 5's 20% off coupon to buy my reels and rods.

At big five, you can get a Sealine 40 for $100 and a rod for around $35.

I have three of the above setups and I know you know these catch fish.

Dang, thieves suck ......

Hope to fish with you soon and I can even lone you a setup if needed.

Dang! Stupid crooks. If your still interested in Daiwa, if i'm not mistaken they had 'buy 1 reel, get free rod' at the Fred Hall show. Can anyone else chime in on this and/or know if that deal will be at the Del Mar show? Could be a good way to get at least one or two setups before getting the last two at a later time.

Hell, I was just on a 3/4 day at the islands and some dude was using a lexa 300 and a daiwa dx bass rod and was landing some good sized yellows on that rig haha.

F thieves. Probably junkies and a crime of opportunity. I have some experience with this, my dad and friend had a bunch of stuff stolen a few years ago by a guy we actually called good guy jim. Turned out he was strung out and not very smart about covering his tracks. Check the local pawn shops, depending on intelligence and desparation, they may have distributed the gear among multiple shops. I don't think a lot of these guys go to craigslist anymore, too many getting caught. We eventually got almost everything back and the guy is on the lam, even robbed a sears after he started running. You probably won't get the support around here like we did from our small town police but they might know where to look.

For sure! You rock Allen!

I got a bass rod you can have Mike. It's a Shimano rod, rated 12-20lb I think.

I ran into you on the water a while back in Long Beach. I was with Joe and his buddy, all of us on Malibu x factors.
Cheers bro
