have you test a 40lb motor to see if you are able to get an increase in speed?
Didn't fit thru the Mirage drive hole.
how long does does a 50amp battery last you, if you kept it on at full speed, all at one go ?
I fish alot out by the old K marker area on the south side of the canyon and I go full speed there and back and the battery has plenty of amps left to fish or troll the harbor for another hour or so when I get back inside...I've never run it all the way down.

Jim and All,
I went with the 24 Lb thrust as to not require a full size deep cycle battery.
The PA -12 is heavy to start , add all the gear and its quite a load. Since the 24 only draws approx 18 Amps at full speed I could go with a 50 Ah battery. (Still weighs 30 lbs) That and they are getting good reviews. I also saw a youtube video of PA-12 with this motor and it moved the PA 12 very well.

of my install.
