More likely a Soupfin or Blue Shark. Leopards would be easy to tell the difference, and Smoothhounds are rarely that large.

Thanks for the info. It was better fishing this Saturday - 24 lb yellow by 10:30 on the flyline with a greenback in about 150' just north of the point. Man, the kelp is all gone, hope it won't effect the fishing too much this season, but realistically it can't be too good.
