La Jolla pics...for those stuck at a desk

0630 launch. Wind offshore.
0700 began epic battle with mackerel on a 5' shimano creek rod with 6# test wound to a spinning reel. After 7 epic fights, my back was shot and the graphite on the rod was smoking! I filled the bait tank (Lowes 5 gal. bucket) and began trolling with a pair of nose pierced macks. Met a couple cool BWE'ers (Patrick and John). They dragged me out into the deep water for some YT seeking. I used two great fish finders (Patrick's and John's) to try and locate some table fair for the doubters back home. No such luck as the time ran out and I had to push for the shore (hey the drive back to Temecula sucks after 3!). Back on the beach at 12:30 to wrap up a successful albeit fishless day.

...enjoy the pics

Damn. Wish I was there. Looks like a lake! Where is the winter swell? Don't work behind a desk but I have been out of the game waiting on a new pair of waders after destroying them with my gaff. They finally got here and someone totaled my parked truck so yeah no fishing for a while... Just remember every time you get skunked it is a lot better than some of the alternatives!
