my 2 cents ....
I have good luck near the bait barge and by the coast guard station. You can park at the life guard station.
I would start at the coast guard station slowly work you way towards the bait barge. |

I like fishing the surf in Newport. Trout gear, Berkley camo sand worms 2", and the kids love it. BSP all day long!

BSP, and YCF in Newport with Berkeley camo worms, and live sand crabs. I usually put the kids to work finding me sand crabs. They have fun with that alone!

Got this surf fishing in Long Beach, but the only fish I got that day. Fishing with the worms will get way more fish from the surf in my experience.
