I use a kayak mount kit from Walmart on my soft top convertible.
But then my kayak is a mini-x...

You'll be fine.
I roof-top my Marauder on my 240SX and our Pelican 130T on my wife's Beetle. Make sure it is secure, with no slack in the lines, and make sure you have a bow and a stern line to keep it from sliding laterally. ![]() ![]() |

I used to carry my Outback on a Civic coupe using Yakima racks.......never had an issue
