45 years old here. Not fishing this week due to a gout flare up and back issues. Getting old sucks

49 1/2.. we can still use halves at this age right? The big 5 0 coming in January. Physically I still can work 12 hour labor intensive days if I have to but it takes weekend naps to recover now. Mentally still feel like I'm in my 30's tho, probably cuz of all the abuse I did back in the 80's that stunted my brain

Still haven't pulled the trigger on a kayak yet but these confessions are a help.

The way I feel now, I figure I have at least another twenty years of kayaking left in me.
