LJ 2/9 am

Launched about 5:45am this morning, Started out by bouncing a B/W 6x jr salas off the bottom at 80ft, them 90ft then 115 ft. at about 6:45 I lifted the iron to approx 60 ft for an instant pick-up of the right kind. Didn't make any runs just hunkered down under me in circles until I could bring him to gaff. A kayaker very close to me asked what I did, and I freely told him "mid column" and he was on nearly instantly. Was a beautifuk day on the water, nice to be back on the beach by 7:15. Matt took a picture for me as soon as I get it I'll post. 18lb on the iron. "On water" and official tape shot to follow.

WTG Ratdog, nice yellow. I hope I can duplicate that on the beach early scenario tomorrow, cause I won't have much time to fish. Good job, dude.

Looking good, Ratdog. Congrats on the table fare. I was going to do a quick session this morning, but got home a little late last night. Tim, go get them tomorrow.

John,

Nice meeting you yesterday. Congrats on the nice YT. I was stoked to see a fish on the beach at 7:15 AM. Spent 9 hrs on the water for nada...I guess thats what I get for sleeping in, but as you said it was a beautiful day on the water. Here's a couple of the photos I took on the beach.
