Wal-Mart parking lot? Not sure about unhooking and leaving a trailer but maybe an option?

Rv parking
Actually Walmart allows you to park rv and spend the night. Only at the one open 24 hours ( I forget where but it's not to far from beach). I spend the night once in an RV on a trip down to Mexico.
Park in the back and you will be ok. Security patrols all night so your safe as well. This was 2 years ago so not sure if still the same policy |

There is a Walmart just off I805 and Clairemont Dr. It is at 4840 Shawline St.. San Diego, 92111. You get on I805 which is just two blocks from the Northbound I805 take the I52 west on ramp and in like 7 miles it takes you straight in to La Jolla Shores. Can't stay much closer than that, because I can't even think of a Park and Ride parking lot any closer. Just park in the far area of the parking lot and it should be OK.
