I've been thinking about trying fly fishing for years! Does anyone know any local clubs that gives basic fly fishing seminars?

It used to be that SD Fly Fishers met at Lake Murray Sunday mornings at 0900 for free casting lessons. Lots of neat older gentlemen who love the sport and love to share their experience.

The reason I was thinking about doing a fly fishing tournament was to get seasoned fly fisherman together with people that are interested in the sport. It's not as hard as people think it is, you just need some basic tools. It gives you a chance to discover a whole new way of catching fish.for more info. check out..... fliflicker.com,the calico syndicate, socal flyfishing in san diego, bob marriott's fly shop in fullerton we have a fly tying night every month. check out this youtube video for motivation clipperton fly fishing 2013 (full version)
I got this two on my second time out flyfishing saltwater... 6 years later i still have the buggggg!!!!!!

yeah i've been interested for years but really dont have a clue where to start. Maybe before or after your tourney someone could host a half hour seminar or sometime.

In your area try Bob Marriott's in Fullerton @ I-5 and the 91 frwy.
FFY

btw: I'd be interested. Due to where I live I'd love to stay down there a couple days or a week.

Raskal if you've got a rod already I'll teach you the ropes or I can bring mine. I used to do a ton of blue water flyfishing and flats fishing in Florida. Still trying to figure out the Cali fishing situation but casting/rigging/fly tying I can help out.
