Lots of great kelp up and down malibu. Drop swimbaits down thru the kelp to look for calicos and rockfish. Work the edges for halibut.
I've never caught a sheepshead out there, but that's mostly cuz I use artificials around the kelp.
County Line (Neptunes Net) is a good spot, but it's also a popular surf spot for a reason. As was mentioned, pick your days and time the sets and you should be ok.
