Surf...Surf...Surf...

Is any one going to try their new kayak surfing skills they learned at the clinic in August....?

I heard that it won't be so bad south of Point Loma tomorrow....

Surf forecast for Wed....

Quote:
Surf height.............9 to 12 feet with sets to 15 feet except
south of Point Loma...10 to 14 feet with
sets to 19 feet.
Wow!Brad... come show us those kayak surfing skills!

...I heard the Ice Man / OEX is holding a Orange County surf clinic in the AM...all you gotta do is paddle out to the line up and show up. Meeting at the oil rigs off Huntington Beach.

I fished the last big swell we had two years ago. It was double to triple overhead breaking in the cove, but the launch was pretty do-able other than a vicious rip current running north. I like being out in big swells as long as it's calm. Not sure how this one is going to hit the launch/cove, but I'll probably take a long lunch to go check it out if I don't fish tomorrow.

Steve, that is a nice lull... the contrast in pics, kinda reminds me of some places down south, that I have gotten myself in "trouble" on my kayak .... lol

Awesome to watch. There were as many foot long lenses clicking off 10 shot bursts as there were body boarders.

I have launched here many times......not today

I saw a couple broken boards and bloody faces

Just got back from the cove. 10-12ft, breaking right inside of the southern most reserve buoy. Forgot the camera. Not huge, but pretty cool.
