I have a tranxHG and a couple Lexa 300HS's.... I think Shimano definitely has a better build quality.... I have had to do a lot of service on the Daiwas, and I dont even use it as much as the tranx... hope that helps some, good luck

Yea but the tranx is a beast and a half, in its own category
