I always seem to break or lose expensive glasses so I buy the cheap ones. Now I'm reconsidering. Problem is, it's very hard to find shades that fit my face and look good. Wide head. I don't want to spend a large chunk on costas or maui Jims if I don't like the style or fit. Any big headed anglers have some suggestions on brands and styles that work for you? Something tuff enough that won't damage easily or cheap enough to be replaced when they get scratched. I'm rough on shades.
I'm horrible with sunglasses. I usually buy the ones at Walmart by Berkely. $15 and they last a long time.

If I don't wear these while on the water my eyes water like crazy the rest of the day and even into the next. Best recommendation I can give you is to place a cool compress on your eyes. 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off and get really good rest.

Besides the polarized glasses I take some Visine with me and every couple of hours a couple of drops. It really helps. I've got some Typhoon sunglasses. They work well and are under$80.
Good luck.

I just can't bring myself to spending $$$ for glasses for the outdoors. I break or lose them every time. I don't think I have had a set of sun glasses for more then 5-6 months ever. I used to spend the money but them days is over. Now to be clear I am talking for biking, fishing and hiking etc. Outdoors.

I do swap them out for a better set. Once I get to my truck.

Wearing Costas right now and love them. I will pay the extra dollars if they work and these do form me. I get the eye check up yearly and a 5 or so years back the doctor asked me if I wore sunglasses when I was in the sun. Told him always but they were the cheap brands. Said that he was seeing a little sun damage. Switched to some Costas and have never looked back. Doctor said that the eyes are the same on the last visit. Figure the eyes are worth it.

I had a problem finding sun glasses that would fit my wide head until I tried on some Maui Jim glasses. Most of their glasses have spring loaded hinges, this allows the glasses to open a few inches wider than normal, it also relieves the pressure that is placed on your temples. At $200+ dollars they aren't cheap but to me they have been worth every penny.
