This is gonna be a short report. I paddled out about 20min. before sunrise. First cast I got a short spottie, 2 second cast I got one about 2lbs. 6 or 7th cast resulted in a slug I should've taken a picture of, but he spilled my coffee and I had a mess to deal with. After that... it took 3.5hrs to get another one. That one bit a 5" Super Fluke in baby bass on a Sled Head. The other 3 fell for a 1/2oz slip jig with a green craw skirt and a New Penny Paddlerz from Zman. For some reason the Paddlerz on the Sled Head got bit, but they wouldn't stick. I missed a crap load of fish in the first hour or so, then it pretty much died. Off the water at 11:00.

i'm not sure why either, but every time i use the owner sledheads, my hookups decrease. i just go back to texas rigged baits with an EWG hook. how bout a weighted EWG?

I don't usually have that issue. In fact the 4th fish was caught with a Sled Head, but not a Paddlerz. I'm not sure what to think of that.
