I think it's basically a hand pully/winch that let's aids in bringing up the hoops.

I personally think that less is better. The trapeez sounds like a good idea, but the yak
can get crowded real quick when hooping. Having one more thing to get the hoop stuck
on can be a drag, especially when wrestling with big bugs!
