Shelter Island out to the jetty

Paddled out at 9am, hit the bait barge, lively small to medium sardines. Three short halibut and one keeper at 24 inches, two fish that looked like sculpin and one bay bass. Nice conditions till about 1pm, then the wind really made me want to to have pedal power. Hung with Todd for about 20 mins, then he paddled out to the end of the jetty. Went through the gap to the Coronado side, it's like glass over there compared to the SD side.
Wonder could we organize a launch from Shelter Island and then land at Coronado, would be a fun outing!
Back at Shelter island boat launch at 4pm. Have four nice fillets to eat, two for broiling and two for ceviche. When I filleted them stayed well away from the stomach and the meat looked clean.
Cheers!!!
