PA seat upgrade?

anyone change out their seat for a cushioned one? I've seen pics of them done but can't find what seats they are or what mods go with it to get the bolts to line up.

Take the seat to a car interior place and see if they can put some padding/boat grade upholstery

I'm trying to get rid of the cheap plastic one all together. my support straps broke (the buckles) and it cant even support itself with me on it without stressing the hinges.

besides i'd probably spend twice as much for that as i could a new seat.

Yes, we are!

Just remove the original seat from the aluminum frame. Many or most boat seats will bolt to the frame just fine, and it's the frame that attaches to the boat.

I kept the original seat (for now) but added a pair of 2x4" risers to mine to make for more comfortable pedaling.

Here's the frame with risers added:




And here's the seat reattached:
