I'll be 67 young this summer and keep physically & mentally fit by getting out 1-2x per week for 6-8 hrs. Papa Dave is really an animal and stays out another 2-4 hrs after I come in! Since I retired 3 yrs ago I'm able to get out much more often and lost 24lbs (I now have the same pant size I did at 19yrs). Using the revolution instead of paddling has really helped w/ the shoulder back pain I use to experience. I took out a PA twice for a day and the different pedaling angle caused mucho back pain that was not experienced in the revo. I'm tired by the end of a day but all I need is a beer and a nap to recover. Hang in there-

Nice to see there are so many older guys doing this. I'm 47 and it makes me think I'm not starting too late.

I can paddle for 12 hours and not get tired, and fear getting a pedal kayak because I would then be on the water 24/seven.
Definitely look into making your kayak fishing life easier by: 1. Practicing proper paddle and pacing techniques 2. Sitting in the right posture and remembering to use the hip/torso muscles to provide most of the power for your strokes 3. Invest in high-back seats and cushions 4. Choosing a lighter kayak 5. Have better hardware for loading/unloading 6. Eat and drink plenty to keep your blood~glucose level high 7. Smoke a cuban cigar (hey, look at Fidel C.) 8. Take a flask of your favorite muscle relaxant/pain reliever and sip whenever fatigued and lastly... 9. Imagine what your life would be like without kayak fishing... Stay with the Fleet... |

That's Lydia, a real girl, standing on my real couch, in my real studio. Hell I never talked to her too much about her education, but she's smart as hell, fun to talk to, pretty damn fine, 28 years old, and last I heard I think has a net worth of something like 100+ million give or take few million. Not that that figure is a huge concern of mine. Last edited by Fiskadoro; 06-19-2013 at 07:18 AM. |

So a certain female friend who will remain officially unmentioned has asserted that for a fishing site this thread is getting just a little too off topic. That some here might not appreciate modeling unless it was in fact kayak related.
In that light she insisted we take a few pics. Kokatat Goretex bib drypants with relief zipper. My review: Thin, light, flexible, not excessively hot even under heavy exertion, and that relief zipper works out pretty damn well if you get my drift. Win!! Win!! as far as all concerned. Man!
Dorado and Jim need to get a room together!. There is obviously a lot of sensual energy pent up with these two. CEOs, Supermodels......When does the book come out? Something like "How to pick up a perfect ten in an old kayak, without getting soaked." Good luck boys.:ee k: |

I think D50 and I have dramatically different angling strategies. Have you seen his car? Have you seen the crappy $1000 vehicle I drive? Last edited by Fiskadoro; 06-19-2013 at 08:07 AM. |
