What's the weather lookin like for LJ Friday morning?

Just sold my OK Prowler and picking up a PA 14 tomorrow. If Friday looks ok, I'm ready to head out. Anybody going to LJ on Friday morning?

Congratulations on the ride. I really enjoy my PA 12. Looks like a good day to me! I will be out there bright and early.

Question

Have you seen the surf report? Last night they were calling for 6'-10' waves here in San Diego and 20' a little up north. My wife and I plan on going to check out the huge surf Friday.

I know SmokingSeaweed is calling for flat conditions, so the big surf may not affect the shores...

Ya that doesn't sound so good. I may have to rethink my plan and fish the bay instead. Hmmmm....
A little different than what is reported on MSW as you stated JeffB http://magicseaweed.com/Scripps-Pier...rf-Report/296/

Exactly what I was thinking. Tidelands it might be.

Does anyone with a bit more experience on reading these reports (predictions) know if it would be safe or not to launch out of the shores Friday?

Surfline report

I use Surfline report all the time for my surf report They are normally off by couple feet on the surf report regardless it should be around 5 to 6 feet so i would not want to be out there on my kayak. Good luck fishing and stay dry.

Cool, thanks....that's a great link. I always look at the wave height but didn't really understand the the timing, it makes sense now.

I went on Monday and made it out okay, but got soaked. Coming back in though, I got slammed hard....I missed timed the waves and ate it....lol.

Surfline Premium is what I have been using for years more detailed reports and area reports, well worth the money. Great for Surfing , Fishing and boat trips. Have a great time with that PA.

Thanks everyone for the information on wave forecasts!

Steve I think I am going to fish Mission Bay for some halibut instead. What were you thinking?
